CashMoneyJesus: Adblock, Adblock Plus, SIFr, and you.
If you arrived at this page, you most likely are more than one of the following:
- just curious
- running Firefox with the Adblock or Adblock plus extension
- seeing agitating little “Adblock” tabs all over the header text throughout this site.
You see, the pretty text headers are a result of a fun little flash technology called SIFr, or Scalable Inman Flash Replacement. It allows you to use specialized fonts that you can be sure will show on the user’s browser even if they don’t have that font installed, assuming they have Adobe Flash Player installed (which is very likely).
Problem with this is that Adblock and ABP exist to allow you to control whether you see Flash objects in websites by putting a small tab on the flash object that looks like this:
Ordinarily, this is great! Annoying flash ads and whatnot are magically whisked away and removed from your view.
How to Fix this
On the other hand, sometimes you want Flash objects without the obtuse Adblock tag being dropped on every last header. Like, maybe, on this site.
In that case… do the following:
1. Find the Adblock/Adblock Plus Preferences page, where you can add exceptions to your filters. In FF 2.0 and the most recent version of Adblock Plus, that is most easily reached by going toTools -> Adblock Plus.
2. Navigate to the home page for this site, CashMoneyJesus.com.
3. Where it says Add filter… just below the Filter rules, click Add filter…
4. Copy and paste this:

and press enter.
5. Refresh the site. The tabs should be gone!
